Dresses That Heal!
(CLIO, MI)-----Jan Barlow, a member of the
Association of Wedding Gown Specialists,
is pleased to announce Jan's Professional
Dry Cleaners has joined the companies supporting
Dresses That Heal, Inc., an organization
devoted to raising funds to provide support
and healing for women living with breast
cancer. The MuseumCare gown preservations
offered by the Association and its members
are now part of the Compassion Collection.
The Collection includes gowns, accessories,
and other wedding services offered by wedding
professionals who have agreed to make a
donation to Dresses That Heal each time
a bride purchases something from the Collection.
The Association and its
members are among the very first to contribute
to the Collection. Other donors include
such well-known wedding gown designers as
Judd Waddell, Marisa, Amy Michelson, Paloma
Blanca, Matthew Christopher, Carmela Sutera,
Henry Roth, and the Dessy Group. Rachel
Rivard, founder of Dresses That Heal, notes,
"In effect, bridal gowns and wedding
services from the Collection will symbolize
not only a bride's commitment to her wedding
vows but also the bridal industry's commitment
to providing hope and healing for women
battling with this terrible disease."
Jan Barlow and Jan's Professional
Dry Cleaners are proud of their participation
in this program. "Dresses That Heal",
said Jan Barlow, "is a unique, cutting
edge fund raiser that allows brides, designers,
and wedding professionals across the country
to honor the strength and journey of breast
cancer survivors across the country -truly
combining fashion with compassion. If a
bride wants to be certain a percentage of
the charge for the preservation of her wedding
gown contributes to this fund, she can go
to www.janscleaners.com and download a certificate
with the charity's logo and information."
Jan Barlow also noted that
Jan's Professional Dry Cleaners takes pride
in both the quality of their work and the
many ways in which they support the community.
The
